A 4m LED Lightbox That Adapts to Different Stand Widths
The Frame Plus 4000mm freestanding LED lightbox creates a wide illuminated backdrop for trade fairs, product demonstrations, conferences, showrooms and large indoor promotional spaces. Its four-metre display width provides enough room to organise a complete brand presentation across one continuous backlit surface.
Unlike a fixed-size display wall, the Frame Plus system is assembled from compatible modular frame sections. The complete configuration forms a 4000mm-wide backdrop, but selected modules can be removed or added when a future exhibition requires a different stand width.
This allows exhibitors to invest in a reusable display system rather than treating every stand size as an entirely separate purchase.
Reconfigure the Frame from 4m to 3m
The 4000mm configuration can be reduced by removing a compatible 1000mm frame section, allowing the remaining components to create a 3000mm-wide backdrop. In the opposite direction, an existing 3000mm modular SEG lightbox can be expanded with compatible 1000mm SEG lightbox components when a future exhibition requires a four-metre display.
This modular relationship is useful for exhibitors attending events with different stand dimensions. A brand may use the complete 4000mm system at a larger trade fair and configure a 3000mm backdrop for a smaller venue without purchasing another completely independent frame.
Only compatible components of the same height and frame system should be combined. The required LED sections, transformers, stabilising feet and connection parts must also correspond to the final assembled width.
Use the Correct Graphic for Every Configuration
Although the frame width can be reconfigured, the same fabric graphic cannot automatically be used for both the 3000mm and 4000mm layouts.
A complete 4000mm frame requires a graphic produced from the corresponding 4000mm artwork template. If the frame is reduced to 3000mm, a separate 3000mm SEG graphic must be prepared. A four-metre graphic should not be folded or compressed to fit a three-metre frame.
The artwork should always match the final frame dimensions so that the silicone edges align correctly with the channels and the fabric maintains even tension across the illuminated surface.
Organise a Four-Metre Brand Story
A 4m-wide exhibition backdrop gives designers enough horizontal space to separate information into clear visual zones. Instead of enlarging a standard poster across the entire wall, the composition can guide visitors through the brand message.
The left side may introduce the company or product category, the central area can carry the primary product image or campaign message, and the right side can support applications, benefits or a call to action. This is only one possible layout—the final structure should follow the direction from which visitors approach the stand.
Important information should remain visible from the aisle. Small text and detailed specifications are generally more effective at close viewing distances, while logos, product photography and short messages should remain easy to recognise from further away.
Counters, monitors, product samples and furniture may obscure the lower part of the graphic. Their intended positions should therefore be considered before the final artwork is approved.
Choose the Height for the Venue and Artwork
The 4000mm modular LED lightbox is available in three heights. Each option creates a different visual proportion and should be selected according to venue restrictions, stand layout and viewing distance.
The 4000 × 2000mm version has the strongest panoramic appearance. It is suitable for wide horizontal graphics, demonstration zones and venues where overall height is restricted.
The 2250mm version offers a more balanced relationship between width and height for general exhibition use. The 2500mm model provides the greatest graphic area and makes upper-level branding easier to see across a busy exhibition hall.
Each configuration is supplied in a wheeled transport case with protective foam inserts.

The composite frame profile is approximately 120mm deep. With the stabilising feet installed, the complete display depth is approximately 400mm.
Select Graphics for the Stand Position
The required graphic configuration depends on whether the lightbox is being used as a rear wall or as a freestanding divider in an open exhibition area.
- Single-sided option / one printed SEG graphic for the illuminated front and one black-back graphic for the reverse side
- Double-sided option / two printed SEG graphics for visibility from both directions
- Frame Only option / supplied without printed graphics for customers arranging compatible printing separately
A single-sided configuration is normally suitable when the lightbox is positioned against a venue wall, along the rear boundary of a stand or behind a long reception counter.
Double-sided graphics are more appropriate when the lightbox separates two stand zones or faces visitor traffic from both directions. Each side may use the same branding or carry different messages for different visitor routes.
Customers selecting Frame Only should verify the finished dimensions, silicone-edge specification and compatibility with the Frame Plus 120mm profile before arranging third-party printing.
Prepare the Assembly Area Before Installation
The 4000mm frame separates into modular composite sections for storage and transport. These sections connect through a tool-free push-button system, allowing the structure to be assembled without specialist installation equipment.
Before starting, the components should be organised according to their identification numbers and the intended final width. Enough clear floor space should be available to handle the frame sections and position the four-metre fabric graphic without dragging it across dirty or wet surfaces.
Typical installation takes approximately 30 minutes with one person after familiarisation. More time should be allowed for the first setup, a newly printed graphic or a reconfigured frame width. Actual installation time will depend on the selected height, experience and venue conditions.
Once the frame is stable, the graphic should be aligned with the correct orientation. Insert the silicone edge progressively around the channels, maintaining even tension rather than completing one long side before checking the remaining corners.
The wheeled transport case and protective foam inserts help keep modular sections, lighting components and connection parts organised between events.
Plan Power for the Final Width
The complete 4000mm configuration has a total power consumption of approximately 360W. It uses OSRAM LED light sources with a 6500K daylight colour temperature to illuminate the wide fabric graphic.
The system operates through DC 24V transformers with an AC 100–240V, 50/60Hz input. The power cable is approximately two metres long, with the appropriate connection supplied according to the selected UK or EU destination.
When changing the frame from 4000mm to 3000mm, the lighting and power arrangement must also correspond to the number of installed modules. The complete 4000mm system uses approximately 360W, while a 3000mm configuration uses approximately 270W.
Power access should be planned before the exhibition stand is installed. Cable routes should avoid main visitor walkways and comply with the venue organiser’s electrical requirements.
The OSRAM light source has a rated operating life of up to 50,000 hours under appropriate operating conditions. This product is intended for indoor use and should not be exposed to rain, excessive moisture or unsuitable outdoor electrical conditions.
Modular or Fully Foldable?
This 4000mm model is intended for exhibitors who value the ability to remove, add and reorganise compatible frame modules. Its principal advantage is width flexibility across different exhibition layouts.
Customers who expect to keep the same four-metre size but place greater priority on a folding frame and reduced packed weight can compare the fully foldable 4000mm LED lightbox. The two products serve different operational priorities and should not be treated as the same construction.
This product is four metres wide rather than four metres high. Projects requiring greater vertical visibility should be compared with the 4000mm-high exhibition lightbox.
