FRAME PLUS X LIGHTCAST

Lightcast at NAB Show 2026: Large-Format Backlit Exhibition Stand

At NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, Lightcast needed branding visible above the crowd and a demonstration area open to the aisle. Frame Plus combined a wide illuminated backdrop with a taller corner feature and smaller side walls. The configuration uses 6 m wide lightbox wall, 4 m high exhibition lightbox, 1 m lightbox side panels.

Lightcast at NAB Show 2026: Large-Format Backlit Exhibition Stand — project photograph

At NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, Lightcast needed branding visible above the crowd and a demonstration area open to the aisle. Frame Plus combined a wide illuminated backdrop with a taller corner feature and smaller side walls.

Balancing Vertical Branding with Open Demonstrations

At a broadcast and media technology exhibition, a stand must communicate at more than one viewing distance. Lightcast needed a branded feature visible above surrounding visitors, together with a presentation area that remained open to people approaching from the aisle. The broad wall and taller corner feature answered these separate requirements.

The dimensions describe two different design decisions. Six metres refers to the width of the main backwall, while four metres refers to the height of the taller lightbox feature. Treating both as wall widths would misrepresent the project. The smaller one-metre returns completed the composition around the demonstration area without turning it into an enclosed meeting room.

Display Configuration and Printed Graphics

A 6 m wide lightbox wall provides the main graphic surface. A 4 m high exhibition lightbox adds vertical visibility at the corner, while two 1 m lightbox side panels frame the demonstration area. The 6 m dimension describes the main wall’s width; the 4 m feature refers to the taller lightbox’s height.

The printed graphic and supporting frame are separate parts of the installation. The frame establishes the display format; the fabric carries the project-specific artwork. This lets the configuration be described in terms of both the structure used and the message presented, rather than treating the finished wall as a permanent printed construction.

Installation and Use at the Venue

Three people assembled the full configuration in 60 minutes. The tall corner graphic raised Lightcast’s branding above the crowd, while the smaller returns kept the demonstration desks visible from the aisle. The combination gave the stand both a broad backdrop and a distinct high point.

The arrangement illustrates a useful distinction in large exhibition stand planning: a strong background does not have to become a visual barrier. In this case, the backdrop carried the brand presentation, the tall feature established a high point, and the returns helped frame the activity while leaving the demonstration desks visible from the visitor approach.

Artwork and Future Display Planning

When preparing a similar display, the graphic layout should follow the role of each surface in the actual space. Main imagery, supporting text and logos need to be arranged around the finished frame dimensions and the way visitors will view them. The artwork preparation guide explains the print-file requirements for this stage of the process.

For comparison, the Metis project documents a different application of illuminated display components. The useful comparison is the requirement behind each layout, rather than assuming that every event needs the same number or size of walls.
