Herdwatch at CattleCon 2025: Backlit Exhibition Stand Case Study
At CattleCon 2025 in Texas, Herdwatch used a backlit exhibition stand with a main wall, a side return and a counter. The brief focused on a stable, self-assembled display that kept the brand visible from two aisles in a busy livestock-industry exhibition. The configuration uses 5 m backlit exhibition wall, 2 m lightbox side wall, lightbox counter.

Case study · CattleCon 2025

At CattleCon 2025 in Texas, Herdwatch used a backlit exhibition stand with a main wall, a side return and a counter. The brief focused on a stable, self-assembled display that kept the brand visible from two aisles in a busy livestock-industry exhibition.
Brand Visibility from Two Aisles
For Herdwatch, the corner position called for a display that addressed visitors approaching from two directions. A main backwall alone would have concentrated the presentation on one face. Adding the illuminated return created another branded surface while helping distinguish the stand from the surrounding livestock-industry exhibition traffic.
The reception counter played a separate role. Positioned at the visitor approach, it provided storage and a place to begin a conversation, while keeping the route into the stand available. The layout combined these functions without requiring the counter to run across the full entrance.
Display Configuration and Printed Graphics
A 5 m backlit exhibition wall forms the main face, with a 2 m lightbox side wall defining the corner. A lightbox counter sits at the visitor approach. Positioning it near the corner keeps the route into the stand clear while providing a fixed reception point.
The printed graphic and supporting frame are separate parts of the installation. The frame establishes the display format; the fabric carries the project-specific artwork. This lets the configuration be described in terms of both the structure used and the message presented, rather than treating the finished wall as a permanent printed construction.
Installation and Use at the Venue
Two people assembled the stand in 45 minutes. The two illuminated walls carried Herdwatch’s branding towards both aisles, while the counter provided storage and a place to greet visitors. The layout kept the presentation area distinct from the surrounding traffic.
This CattleCon project is an example of planning a backwall, return and counter as one visitor-facing arrangement. The wall widths describe the components, but their placement explains the case: the main graphic introduced the brand, the return addressed the second aisle, and the counter created a practical point of contact within the corner layout.

Artwork and Future Display Planning
When preparing a similar display, the graphic layout should follow the role of each surface in the actual space. Main imagery, supporting text and logos need to be arranged around the finished frame dimensions and the way visitors will view them. The artwork preparation guide explains the print-file requirements for this stage of the process.
For comparison, the Nce project documents a different application of illuminated display components. The useful comparison is the requirement behind each layout, rather than assuming that every event needs the same number or size of walls.
