What Makes the Frame Fully Foldable?

“Fully foldable” describes the way the aluminium frame is divided into sections that can fold flat for transport. At the venue, the sections are unfolded and connected to create the complete width selected for the display.

This is different from constructing a conventional lightbox from numerous individual frame lengths. The folding sections keep more of the structure organised during transport, helping reduce the number of loose components that must be identified and assembled on site.

It is also different from a compact one-piece pop-up system. A 1000mm pop-up lightbox opens as one display unit, while a fully foldable model uses multiple folding sections to achieve widths of 2000mm, 3000mm, 4000mm, 5000mm or 6000mm.

The term does not mean that the complete display becomes operational immediately after one movement. The sections must still be opened and connected correctly, the supporting feet must be installed, the SEG fabric must be fitted and the electrical system must be connected before the display is ready for use.

Choose From 2000mm to 6000mm Widths

The width should be selected around the booked stand area, expected viewing distance and amount of information shown on the graphic. A larger backdrop creates more visual presence, but it also requires more floor space, a wider artwork file and additional handling during installation.

A 2000mm fully foldable lightbox may be sufficient when the display supports a small booth, meeting area or product presentation. Wider 4000mm, 5000mm and 6000mm systems are more appropriate when the backdrop must remain visible across a larger exhibition space.

Do not choose a 6000mm display solely because it provides the largest printable area. Confirm the actual stand boundary, installation access, viewing distance and space required for counters, screens, products and visitor movement.

Select the Right Height for the Venue

Every width in this collection is available in three heights: 2000mm, 2250mm and 2500mm. The correct height depends on the exhibition regulations, surrounding displays and the distance from which the artwork must be seen.

A taller lightbox can increase visibility, but height alone does not guarantee a more effective presentation. The logo, headline and principal product message must still be positioned where they can be read from the expected visitor route.

Plan Transport Before Selecting a Large Display

A collapsible lightbox reduces the packed size of a wide exhibition wall, but “portable” should not be interpreted as meaning that every width can be handled in exactly the same way. A 2000mm display and a 6000mm display contain different amounts of frame, fabric and electrical equipment.

Before choosing a width, check:

• The number, size and weight of the transport packages
• The available vehicle or courier capacity
• The venue’s delivery and loading restrictions
• The route between the loading point and the exhibition space
• Lift, doorway and corridor dimensions
• Storage for packaging during the event
• The number of people available for lifting, alignment and graphic installation
• The time allocated for installation and dismantling

A portable exhibition display should simplify event logistics, but the selected size must still match the capabilities of the team and venue. For larger widths, having a second person available can make it easier to control long frame sections, align the structure and fit the wide SEG graphic evenly.

From Folded Sections to a Complete Exhibition Wall

The installation process should be planned around the complete structure rather than treating each folded section as an independent display. Preparing the parts in the correct order reduces unnecessary movement and helps maintain alignment across the final width.

1. Prepare the floor area. Confirm the final position, available width and access to an appropriate power supply.
2. Identify the folding sections. Arrange the packaged components in the order required for the selected width.
3. Unfold each section. Open the segmented frame carefully and check that every connection point is fully engaged.
4. Join the sections. Use the correct joining components to form the complete 2000–6000mm structure.
5. Install the supporting feet. Position every supplied support according to the product instructions.
6. Check the full alignment. Make sure the frame is straight and correctly positioned before fitting the fabric.
7. Install the SEG graphics. Begin at the corners and work gradually around the frame to maintain even tension.
8. Connect and test the lighting. Route the cables safely, connect the power and inspect the complete illuminated surface.

Do not force a connection if two sections are not aligned. Recheck the orientation and corresponding components before applying pressure. During dismantling, remove the graphics and disconnect the electrical components before folding and packing the frame.

Choose Frame Only, Single-Sided or Double-Sided Graphics

Every fully foldable LED lightbox in this collection is available with three graphic configurations. The correct choice depends on whether the display will stand against a wall, remain visible from two directions or be used with graphics that you already own.

• Frame Only: suitable when you already own SEG graphics made for the exact Frame Plus model, width and height.
• Single-sided: includes one printed graphic and one black-back graphic for a display with one principal viewing direction.
• Double-sided: includes two printed graphics for an open display that can be viewed from both sides.

A single-sided configuration is usually appropriate when the foldable LED lightbox stands at the rear of a booth or against an existing wall. A double-sided configuration may provide more value when the display is positioned between visitor routes or within an open exhibition area.

Do not select Frame Only based solely on the stated width. A 3000 × 2000mm graphic will not fit a 3000 × 2500mm frame, and graphics made for another lightbox construction may use different visible dimensions or silicone-edge specifications.

Design Artwork for a Wide SEG Lightbox

A wide foldable SEG lightbox provides more visual space, but effective artwork still needs a clear hierarchy. Increasing the display width should not lead to longer paragraphs, excessive product details or several competing headlines.

Plan the graphic according to the distance and direction from which visitors will approach:

• Position the primary logo and headline where they remain visible above counters and visitors.
• Use large, concise text that can be understood while people move past the stand.
• Keep essential information inside the safe area shown on the product template.
• Avoid placing important text over structural transitions or potential visual interruptions.
• Use high-resolution imagery suitable for the complete printed dimensions.
• Check the balance of the design at full width rather than reviewing only a reduced screen preview.
• Prepare the front and rear faces separately if each side addresses a different visitor route.

A 2000mm design may use one central visual focus, while a 5000mm or 6000mm backdrop can divide the surface into a brand area, product imagery and a concise supporting message. These sections should still feel like one coordinated presentation rather than several unrelated posters placed next to each other.

Both systems reduce the amount of conventional frame assembly required, but they are designed for different scales. The correct choice depends primarily on the width of the required display and how the structure should be prepared at the venue.

Choose a fully foldable model when the project requires a backdrop between 2000mm and 6000mm wide. Choose an LED pop up lightbox when a compact 1000mm-wide panel or matching folding counter is sufficient.
