Giant LED Lightboxes for 4m-High Exhibition Displays
A giant LED lightbox creates an extra-tall illuminated backdrop for exhibition halls, conferences, product launches and other large indoor event spaces. Every model in this collection is 4000mm high, with widths of 3000mm, 4000mm, 5000mm and 6000mm available for different display areas.
Integrated LED illumination shines through a custom-printed SEG fabric graphic, producing a bright, continuous brand surface that can remain visible across a busy venue. Unlike a digital LED screen, the display presents a static printed graphic rather than video, animation or programmable electronic content.
This collection is intended for projects where standard-height displays do not provide sufficient vertical presence. Before selecting a 4m-high LED lightbox, confirm that the venue and event organiser permit the proposed height, width and installation method. To compare standard, folding and large-format systems, browse all LED lightboxes.
Confirm the Permitted Display Height First
A 4000mm-high structure requires more planning than a conventional exhibition backdrop. The available ceiling height alone does not confirm that a 4m display is permitted. Exhibition organisers may apply separate rules for maximum construction height, structural approval, neighbouring stands and the distance from venue equipment.
Before placing an order, ask the organiser or venue to confirm:
- The maximum permitted stand and wall height
- Whether structures above the standard height require prior approval
- The required distance from ceilings, sprinklers, lighting and ventilation systems
- Whether the position affects emergency signs or venue sightlines
- Rules relating to adjacent stands and shared boundaries
- Whether structural drawings or additional documentation are required
- The available installation height and working space
- The venue’s electrical and cable-management requirements
These conditions vary between venues and events. Product dimensions should therefore be checked against the current exhibitor manual rather than relying on requirements from a previous exhibition.
Choose a Width From 3000mm to 6000mm
All four giant lightboxes have the same 4000mm height, so the principal product choice is the width. The right width depends on the booked stand boundary, viewing distance and role of the backdrop within the wider environment.
| Lightbox size | Possible application | Planning priority |
|---|---|---|
| 3000 × 4000mm | Extra-tall brand wall, event backdrop or focused product presentation | Make sure the narrow vertical format does not force important artwork too close to the edges |
| 4000 × 4000mm | Square-format exhibition feature or large presentation background | Balance the upper branding area with content displayed at eye level |
| 5000 × 4000mm | Wide conference backdrop or high wall exhibition lightbox | Plan the complete installation area and maintain a clear visual hierarchy across the width |
| 6000 × 4000mm | Large-format illuminated exhibition wall for major venues | Confirm handling space, installation access and the distance required to view the complete graphic |
A wider lightbox provides more visual area, but it should not automatically contain more text. Visitors normally have limited time to understand an exhibition message. Use the additional width to improve visual scale and separation rather than filling every available section with information.
Measure the complete allocated space before ordering. Leave sufficient room for counters, products, screens, staff and visitor movement instead of assigning the entire stand width to the backdrop.
Design the Graphic for Long-Distance Viewing
An extra-tall LED lightbox may be visible from farther away than a standard backdrop. The artwork should therefore communicate at more than one viewing distance. The upper section can establish brand recognition across the venue, while the middle area can present the main campaign or product message to visitors approaching the stand.
A useful visual hierarchy may include:
- Upper area: company name, logo or short brand statement for long-distance recognition
- Middle area: primary product image, campaign headline or central visual message
- Lower area: supporting information that remains useful when visitors are closer to the display
Avoid placing the only logo or headline near the bottom of the fabric. This part of the graphic may be hidden by counters, products, furniture or people standing in front of the exhibition wall.
Text intended to be read from across the hall should be concise and significantly larger than text used on printed literature. Detailed specifications, long explanations and contact information can be provided through brochures, screens, QR codes or conversations at the stand.
How Much of the Graphic Is Visible at Eye Level?
A 4000mm-high graphic extends well above normal eye level. The complete artwork may look balanced on a computer screen while functioning differently after installation at full scale. Review the design according to the position of visitors, staff and other stand components.
Before approving the artwork, consider:
- Whether a counter will cover part of the lower graphic
- Where staff and visitors are likely to stand
- Whether displayed vehicles, machinery or products will block the middle area
- How far away visitors will first see the brand
- Whether photographs and interviews will take place in front of the lightbox
- How the design appears when viewed from an angle rather than directly from the front
For interview and photography backgrounds, place important brand elements where they remain visible behind the people in the frame. For product exhibitions, coordinate the printed visual with the height and position of the physical product instead of treating the backdrop as an isolated design.
Single-Sided or Double-Sided Giant Lightbox?
Every size in this collection is available as Frame Only, with a single-sided graphic configuration or with double-sided printed graphics. The right choice depends on the position of the high wall and the directions from which visitors can see it.
- Frame Only: suitable when you already own compatible SEG graphics produced for the exact model and size.
- Single-sided: includes one printed SEG graphic and one black-back graphic for a display with one principal viewing direction.
- Double-sided: includes two printed SEG graphics for a structure that remains visible from both sides.
A single-sided configuration is generally appropriate when the giant lightbox stands against a venue wall or at the rear boundary of an exhibition booth. Double-sided graphics may provide more value in an open area where visitors approach from two different routes.
Do not choose a second printed face unless the rear of the display will genuinely remain visible. Check the planned position, neighbouring stands and surrounding structures before paying for artwork that visitors may not see.
If the campaign changes while the hardware remains in use, compatible replacement SEG graphics can provide a new visual without replacing the complete lightbox.
Installation Planning for a 4m-High Lightbox
A 4m-high structure should not be treated like a small portable display. The required installation team and working method depend on the selected width, venue access and event regulations. Do not assume that one person can safely handle every part of a 3000–6000mm-wide system.
A practical installation plan should cover:
- The number of people available to lift, align and stabilise the structure
- The working space needed to prepare the frame before it reaches its final position
- Safe access to the upper part of the 4000mm-high structure
- The order in which frame sections and supports must be installed
- The method used to fit and tension a large SEG fabric graphic
- The location of power connections and cables
- The venue’s rules for working at height
- The time required for inspection before the exhibition opens
Install every supplied support and connection component according to the relevant product instructions. The floor should be level, the completed structure should remain within the approved stand boundary and cables should not cross active visitor routes without suitable protection.
During dismantling, disconnect the power and remove the fabric graphics before separating and packing the frame. Protect the printed textile from dirt, moisture and sharp components during transport and storage.
Giant Lightbox or Fully Foldable Display?
A giant lightbox and a fully foldable display may offer similar widths, but they address different priorities. The high wall range is defined by its 4000mm height and long-distance visual presence. The fully foldable range is defined by a segmented folding frame and lower height options intended to simplify transport and repeated event use.
| Comparison | Giant LED lightbox | Fully foldable LED lightbox |
|---|---|---|
| Available height | 4000mm | 2000mm, 2250mm and 2500mm |
| Available width | 3000mm, 4000mm, 5000mm and 6000mm | 2000mm, 3000mm, 4000mm, 5000mm and 6000mm |
| Primary benefit | Extra height and visibility in large venues | Wide backdrop with a folding transport format |
| Important planning factor | Venue height approval and installation access | Packing, handling and repeated transport |
| Typical role | High-impact exhibition wall or large event backdrop | Portable exhibition backdrop for repeated events |
Choose the giant format when the venue permits a 4m-high structure and vertical visibility is central to the display concept. Compare fully foldable LED lightboxes when the project requires a wide backdrop at a lower height with greater emphasis on folding transport.
For a standard-height individual panel or a broader choice of conventional widths, explore freestanding LED lightboxes.
Giant Lightbox or Complete Exhibition Stand?
A giant SEG lightbox provides a large illuminated wall, but it does not automatically include the other elements needed for a complete exhibition environment. Counters, product areas, monitors, meeting spaces, storage and visitor routes must still be planned around the backdrop.
If you have already booked a defined floor area and want a coordinated solution rather than an individual high wall, compare complete exhibition stands. Available layouts include options for 3 × 3m spaces, 3 × 6m spaces and 6 × 6m spaces.
Projects requiring illuminated arches, enclosed storage spaces, corners or coordinated multi-panel structures should be planned through the modular exhibition systems collection. This keeps the giant lightbox focused on its role as an extra-tall illuminated backdrop rather than treating it as a complete stand by itself.
Applications for an Extra-Tall SEG Lightbox
A 4m-high backlit display can support several types of large indoor presentation, provided the venue permits the complete structure.
- Trade shows: create a tall brand background that remains visible across active exhibition aisles.
- Automotive and equipment exhibitions: position branding above vehicles or physical products that would cover a standard-height wall.
- Conferences: provide a large illuminated background for presentations, interviews or sponsor recognition.
- Product launches: combine a high-impact campaign image with a physical demonstration area.
- Showrooms: create a temporary or reusable feature wall where sufficient ceiling height is available.
- Corporate events: provide a branded photographic or media background for large venues.
The selected application does not remove the need to check structural, electrical and height requirements. Confirm the proposed installation with the organiser before finalising the graphic or delivery schedule.
Prepare Artwork for a 3000–6000mm Backdrop
Artwork for an extra-tall lightbox must be prepared using the template for the exact selected size. Do not enlarge artwork from a standard backdrop at the end of the design process, as this can create low-resolution imagery, incorrect proportions and poorly positioned content.
Before submitting the artwork:
- Confirm whether the order is 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000mm wide.
- Use the correct 4000mm-high product template.
- Keep logos and essential text inside the indicated safe areas.
- Use imagery with sufficient resolution for large-format printing.
- Review the design at both long and short viewing distances.
- Check whether counters, products or people will obscure the lower section.
- Prepare separate front and rear files when ordering two printed graphics.
- Identify the product size and printed side clearly in the filename.
Review the artwork specifications for colour mode, resolution, bleed, safe areas and accepted file formats. Download the relevant file from the artwork template centre, then submit the completed design through the artwork upload page.
Choose Your Giant LED Lightbox
Begin by confirming that the venue permits a 4000mm-high exhibition structure. Then choose the width according to the approved stand boundary, viewing distance and amount of visual information required.
Use this checklist before ordering:
- Has the venue approved a 4000mm-high display?
- Does the stand have space for a 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000mm-wide lightbox?
- Will the display remain visible from one side or two?
- Do you need Frame Only, a single-sided configuration or two printed graphics?
- Where will the logo and main headline sit within the 4m-high artwork?
- Will products, counters or people obscure the lower section?
- How many people will be available for handling and installation?
- Does the venue provide suitable electrical access and safe cable routing?
- Can all packages reach the stand through the available loading route?
- Would a lower fully foldable or standard freestanding display be more appropriate?
If you are unsure which width or graphic configuration fits the project, contact Frame Plus with the approved stand dimensions, venue height limit, viewing directions, delivery destination and event date.
